2008:
Validus earned his Dual
Championship as he won Best in Field in Cleburne Texas!
As a new dad, DC Peppertree Woodland Sprite SC, is
resting comfortably and looking forward to coursing with
his puppies next year.
Litter Announcement: October 30, 2008
Whippets have arrived.
On the morning of October 30th,
Mills Landing Evening Star (Celox) delivered 6
whippets. Celox had 4 boys
and 2 girls. 3 boys look very similar, grey on white. 1
Irish marked male, and one Irish marked Female, and one
that is brown on white similar to one of the Sir’s
litter mates named Shawn (without the heavy watermarking
around the brown). The smallest was 10.4oz (the one that
looks like Shawn), the largest was 12.7oz (male Irish
Marked).

If you are interested, we have
setup a webcam that will be in operation for the next
few weeks and we leave it on most of the day, but turn
it off at night. You can view it by opening Yahoo
Messenger and adding the user account, dudemaster.rm as
a contact. Once I approve you as a contact, you can view
the puppy cam at will (please send me an Email so I know
to jump to that computer and “accept” the request).
January
2008: Validus
had a great run this past month having won BOB in NC
in December defeating 57 other whippets. Immediately
following he took WD in Palm Springs, CA in January for
another 5pt major! He finished and has made us
very us
proud.
December
2007: A great deal
has happened since this
past spring. First, we relocated from Virginia to
the Dallas Fort Worth area in Texas. We now have a
wonderful house in the town of Flower Mound. We
also changed our kennel name to reflect our new Texas
home and my heritage, Lone Star Whippets. Validus
continues to show extremely well. Most recently,
he defeated 57 other Whippets for Breed in North
Carolina for a 5 point major and we are very proud of
him. Celox continues her winning ways by taking
Best in Field and a 5 point major at a Field Trial in
Cleburne, Texas. We have also have a new Whippet,
Peppertree's Smurf's Up. A littermate of Validus',
Smurf is a Blue and has an incredibly sweet temperament.
We hope he loves to Lure Course because he will be doing
a great deal of that in his new home with us.
May 2007:
Celox took her class and then WB at the Langley show
in Hampton, Virginia this past Memorial day for another
point. She had earned a three point major early in
her career and then took a very long hiatus to lure
course where she earned her FcH. We are very proud of
her.

- May
2007:
Validus
has started his show career off with a bang beginning with a
third place at the National Futurity. A couple of weeks later,
Val took WD, BOB and went on to an adult Group III, Hound Group
Puppy I and BISP at the Chesapeake KC in Chesapeake, Va. He
continued his winning ways the next day with another BOB.
Val picked up another point going WD, BOS at
Charlottesville KC under breeder judge Harriet Lee. We are
very proud of this up and coming youngster. He is certainly
following in the footsteps of his sire Dino.
April
2007:
Celox earned her Field Champion when she took first,
and then BOB & BIF at the Tortoise & Hare Field Trial in
Leesburg, Virginia on April 1st. (video
of the field trial is on the
video page). This was a wonderful day for her and we
are all very proud of her accomplishments.
February 2007:
Celox made number 10 the
ASFA
"TOP TWENTY" list :) Let's hope she can keep it --
and (fingers crossed) -- move up!

2006: Lone Star
Whippets has acquired the puppy Peppertree Woodland Sprite (call name:
Validus)! This is a good look'in boy and comes from a
great kennel! Although he is only 12 weeks old in this picture, he already has
an incredible profile, and loves to chase a plastic bag around
the house.
